Bloomington Healing Rooms

We are a group of believers in Jesus Christ who have come together with the support of several local churches for the purpose of praying for healing and ministering God’s love to the hurting in our community. 

Where is the healing rooms?

The Bloomington Healing Rooms currently offers prayer ministry Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30PM at Genesis Church, 801 E State Road 45/46 Bypass, Bloomington, IN.  We are across the bypass from the IU Memorial Stadium.

I’ve heard of other Healing Rooms.  Are you part of a larger association of healing rooms?  Sort of, but not officially.  We have good relationships with many other Christian healing ministries.  There is an International Association of Healing Rooms (healingrooms.com) which we regard very highly, but we are not officially affiliated with them currently.

Who are the prayer ministers who pray for people?

The prayer ministers are volunteers who love to pray with people, have been trained by the Bloomington Healing Rooms, and are members of a church that agrees with our basic faith.   The prayer ministers are for the most part not ordained ministers or licensed practitioners.  For this reason, the prayer ministers and the Bloomington Healing Rooms do not provide licensed counseling nor offer medical advice.  We ask that all healings be confirmed by a licensed practitioner, and that no course of medical treatment be changed as a result of your visit to the healing rooms without the advice of a licensed professional.
